South West Rocks is well known to be the best location to find Grey Nurse Sharks on the east coast of Australia. Fish Rock and Green Island were made critical habitat protection areas for the Grey Nurse Sharks in 2003 by the NSW department of primary industry for their significant value. Grey Nurse Sharks can be found at these locations during all months of the year.

Double dives are conducted daily on board our three surveyed dive boats, and sites are selected to suit the experience of the divers and the conditions on the day. We appreciate that most divers travel to South West Rocks to see Fish Rock Cave and the Grey Nurse sharks, and priority is given to these destinations.

Divers usually gear up at the Dive Centre at 7:30 am for an 8:00 am departure, and all dives are double dives unless other arrangements are made at the time of booking.

We cater for all levels of experience and all dives are guided by professional Dive Masters and Instructors.

If you are not certified to dive, you can experience scuba with an Introductory Dive or Learn to Dive over a few days.

Dive on Nitrox while at South West Rocks

This is our new Nitrox membrane compressor which pumps a continuous flow nitrox mix.

This new system allow any cylinder to be filled with nitrox as there is no longer any pure oxygen involved.

Every diver can use nitrox here whether you complete an on-line course before you arrive or just try nitrox diving for the day.
